John Toufanian has over 20 years of legal experience negotiating and documenting corporate and healthcare finance transactions.

Before joining Oxford, he was an attorney in the New York, Washington, D.C., and Abu Dhabi law offices of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he represented commercial and investment banks in leveraged finance transactions, including acquisition and project financings, as well as other senior secured lending transactions. He also served as Senior Legal Counsel at CapitalSource, Inc., where he handled the internal legal aspects of the commercial lender.

John received a B.A. in Government from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the New York Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and is admitted to the Virginia Bar as corporate counsel.
